Bored Ape Yacht Club Mint Date
The Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC) is a collectible that was introduced by the cryptocurrency startup Yuga Labs. The goal was to create a floating home for the Apes of the future – those who “aped” into cryptocurrency and NFTs, and spent most of their time at bars. The project is still in its early stages, but the founders have already spent much of their savings on it. Their initial sale was spurred by the tweets of one popular collector. Aside from celebrities like Justin Bieber, other notable buyers include the rapper Eminem, Paris Hilton, and Timbaland.
Unlike CryptoPunks, the Bored Ape Yacht Club takes a more commercial approach, aiming to build a strong brand and compete with the giant franchises. To this end, the company has adopted the IP model and guarantees a commercial license to each ape. This makes marketing a much more collaborative effort.
The Bored Ape Yacht Club is scheduled to launch in April 2021. At launch, each unit will cost a minimum of 0.08 Ethereum. At that price, that would be roughly $200 USD. If this amount is achieved, the boat would sell out within 12 hours. The first step to buying a Bored Ape is to connect your Ethereum Blockchain wallet to the NFT marketplace.
In addition to the membership benefits, the BAYC offers members exclusive areas to participate in. Members also get first access to new NFTs and upgrades. This makes the BAYC a valuable asset for a collector. There is also a community drawing board for members. With this tool, they can create and share their creations with the rest of the community.
As an added benefit, the Bored Ape Yacht Club is a social club for ape enthusiasts. Members get exclusive access to exclusive events and mingle through the BAYC Discord community. Additionally, they can even mingle with fellow BAYC members by attending in-person events.
The BAYC has also partnered with the Bored Ape Kennel Club. It was originally a member-exclusive collection, but opened up to the public after a waiting period. However, you will need to prove that you are an owner before you can access it. In the meantime, you can buy a free copy of the ‘Mayc’ NFT.
